Mascouche is a city in Quebec (Canada), located in the regional county municipality (MRC) Les Moulins in the administrative region of Lanaudière2. The population is estimated at 50,455.
Located just a few kilometers northeast of Montreal, the city of Mascouche is crossed by the river of the same name. It borders the towns of Repentigny, Terrebonne, L'Épiphanie and Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan.
With Highway 640 to the south and Highway 25 running right through it, Mascouche benefits greatly from the intersection of these two major arteries. Shops are mainly concentrated on Montée Masson and part of Sainte-Marie.
Mascouche extends over 108 km2, a large part of which is protected by conservation regulations. Nearly 80% of the territory is zoned agricultural, although the number of active farmers is currently very low. These farmers are mostly market gardeners.
In Mascouche, you will find the Etang du Grand Coteau Natural Park, whose area is close to that of the Parc du Mont-Royal.
